The morning was gorgeous and warmed up to about 73 at the Space Museum. Perfect day to open windows and remember why I was traveling at this time of year. But, what did I see in the forecast? Snow? In TX and New Mexico?
The drive to McLean TX was easy. I grabbed a bunch of road pictures along route 66. I did stop at the Weatherford Wind Park. I'm so glad I did. What an amazing memorial for veterans.
Miscellaneous road pics:
Route 66 in OK and Tx is sometimes very desolate and straight. Check this out, zoom into the horizon. I'm the only vehicle as far as I can see in front and behind.
The one room jail on a VERY small side road. It was saved by the senior class of 1938.
More misc photos:
The HarvestHost location tonight is a Route 66 historic location called the Cactus Inn. They actually have a couple RV slots now and a bar in town called the Cactus Rose. The staff was wonderful, as always, and the setup for the night was easy. And, yes, there's snow in the forecast.
