Chapter 2 - Day 24 - Rain, Rain, Go the Freak Away

So. It rained today. All day. Started with sprinkles at 8am and went through all forms of wet throughout the day. Yuck.

I was on the move anyway, leaving Vermillionville Village and heading to Baton Rouge area to stay at Houmas House. Did you know that Baton Rouge means Red Stick? Well, now you do and I gave you the link so you can read about how it was named.

I took I10 so I could go over the long bayou bridge. It's basically a raised platform bridge over miles of bayou, swamp, etc. Very cool.

I had booked a 7pm tour of Houmas House but with the rain and thunder, Leelu is not a fan of storms, I decided staying in, ordering delivery and relaxing was a better course of action.

Tomorrow I will be touring the house and gardens and walking through the Great River Museum.
