Chapter 1 - Day 5 - Rooster-o-clock in Hernando, MS

Follow the RV :D

Hello from Arkansas. We started our morning in Hernando, MS at the adorable and fun Gnarled Oak Farm. I was out wandering with my coffee at sunrise, of my own accord... the rooster was up at 4:10am. We're parked next to an old grain bin and barn, both decked out in Christmas lights.

But across the drive are all the creatures. Geese, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, guinea hens. Someplace there are oreo cows, but who needs them when you have everything else to pet. Oh, and the dogs and cats.

Getting in last night was super easy. The owners, Sarah and Kevin, are amazing. Kevin came out when we arrived to give us two options for parking.

This morning Clay had a great time visiting and petting all the things.

With the weather threatening crazy winds tomorrow morning we're going to forgo our next stop and opt to stay in Little Rock, AR at BassPro. We can park in their parking lot and get an early morning start. The wind is supposed to hit around 9am CST on Friday. My box on wheels, the Beast, can't handle the wind!

Wish us luck!
